I just saw you on TLC and immediately went looking for your line. I will be purchasing very soon! I’m a teacher and hate worrying all day that my shirt has the gaps. Thanks for making something for women like us ;-)

  2. Char Cleary says:

I wore a black knit top with a black knit blazer – no buttons, no gaping! You have an awesome idea! I had never heard of your clothing – just am catching your line on homemade millionaire…you will win for sure!! Best of luck to you ~ Char

  3. Mona Butler says:

I really like the candy stripe top. But then again, I LOVE color.

  4. Christina Schoder says:

I liked the dark chocolate shirt during the pitch to HSN. The fit was very flattering, and just what I am looking for. I liked how you commented that the shirts are cut so the V isn’t so deep that it shows cleavage. It always seems like blouses are too revealing because of my large bust and small frame. I love the idea of your clothes. Would love to see more styles and patterns.

  5. Alison Schaefer says:

Hey! I watched Homemade Millionaire tonight and I thought you should have won! I am 4′ 11″ and weigh 135 lbs. I wear a size 34 DD/DDD and have a 26 inch waste. It is so refreshing to see someone think about the way a button down shirt should fit us big chested girls! I start an on site clinic for my graduate program next month and as a larger chested girl, I was told that I am absolutely not allowed to wear button down shirts because of the dreaded gap. This shirt is the perfect solution. I loved the blue striped tailored shirt.

  6. MY GIRLFRIEND AND I SEEN YOUR LINE ON HSN ..AND WE THINK YOUR LINE IS AWESOME AND WE BOTH LOVED THE WIDE STRAPPED CAMISOLE….AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A WRAP AROUND DRESS I HAVE WANTED ONE FOR EVER AND OF COURSE BECAUSE I AM LARGER SIZE HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONE …..YOU ROCK AND WE LOVE YOUR PRODUCTS

  7. Roz Riley says:

    Carissa-

I don’t shop at HSN, so I was happy to find your website. I just saw you on Homemade Millionaire, and was disappointed you did not win. I always have to wear a cami under button-front shirts, and many v-neck sweaters, because of gaps and “bubbling”. I prefer feminine, but tailored shirts, and would rather add a jacket, scarf or accessory than have a bold print. Love the colors and simple designs! I have not explored all the options yet, but will probably indulge myself after Christmas! Keep the ideas coming! Merry Merry Christmas!

  8. OH NO! After seeing you on Homemade Millionaire, I zipped over to your website to purchase and several items are either not available in the size /color I want or sold out!! I was rooting for you – but no doubt the exposure you just got will further escalate your business… THANK YOU for considering my body type!!
(I am a meteorologist in DC and struggle with what to wear on air.)

    • admin says:

Hi Weather Kim – we have several clients wearing Carissa Rose in “public” appearances. Be they singers, producers, etc. Simply email us your measurements and we’ll recommend the best sizes and styles. Or call us, 877.654.7673. We know first hand that the executives tend to be mean to big boobs on TV.

  9. Charlene says:

Oh to wear a great fitting white shirt sans gaps would be AWESOME…love the girls but as of late having hard time finding flattering anything…so tired of fitted t-shirts. Can’t wait to see more

  10. Nancee says:

I was really hoping you’d win Homemade Millionaire because I shop on HSN & I’m a 32H. Your blouses look like the perfect solution for me. Roz Riley’s blog could have been written by me; I have to do the same thing. I tried to figure out what sized I would wear in your line, but my bust was too big for my waist size on your chart. I’ll check in again before & after Christmas. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time. (You were “robbed”; you should have won!)

    • admin says:

Thanks Nancy. We have fit 28HH is size SR, so your 32H is definitely in our range. Email us (contact@carissarose.com) or call us (877.654.7673) and we’ll get the best size and style for you. We always tell shoppers to fit the largest part – usually the bust – first.

  11. JH says:

I love love love the Carissa Rose line. I have purchased the Carissa Shirt in white, and it fits like a dream. perfect wardrobe staple. makes my waist look smaller and gives an hourglass figure. watched Homemade Millionaire and I am looking forward to purchasing the chocolate brown shirt and purple Amanda Dress with the tie waist and the camisole with wide straps that hide undergarments. your trademark hook and eye down the front of your shirts and dresses are perfect. all of your clothing fit all body types.

  12. Sherry G says:

I so do not get that TLC show – every comment about your line was positive, while all but one on Jennifer’s was negative. Go figure. I hope the exposure of the show leads to a huge sales surge!

  13. Becky Strickland says:

    Carissa,
Just saw you on TLC. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The only person that views that part of me as a positive is my hubby. I have been self-conscious since I was in middle school and get so frustrated when I have to buy a larger size just to fit the girls. I had given up on button ups but I now have hope. I am a middle school teacher who leans towards professional dress as much as I can so your line would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. As I watched you tonight, I admire your spunk and determination as well as your no quit attitude. You exemplified something I try to teach my own three little ones at home…”Be a problem-solver in the world–NOT a problem-maker.” You have taken the bull by the horns by using a frustrating thing for many women to create a solution. That is awesome! With budget cuts this year, I may have to wait until after the holidays to go shopping but I can’t wait to order and give Carissa Rose a try!

  14. Mary Chapel says:

HSN made a mistake not choosing you but I think their suggestions will help your business grow. I am a 32DD/E and have to work hard to find flattering tops. I would like to see more color and I read your blog often. The not “winning” on HSN may have been a blessing because some of the reviews I have read on their site say the fabrics are lousy. I don’t work outside the home and need more casual tops. God Bless you and yours and your business! :)

  15. Lisa says:

Carissa I watched Homemade Millionaire this evening with my daughter and we both thought you should have one. I for one can’t wait to order one of our blouse, finally someone realizes that there is a need out there to cover the girls properly. Since HSN made an obvious mistake not choosing you I think you should market to QVC, all the best to you !!!

  16. Tamara Wood says:

Just watched the show and I loved all the clothes!!! The Urban fit top was so becoming and I have never seen such a great fit for a well endowed woman like myself. Your attention to detail was great and the wide straps on the cami was wonderful – finally a camisole you can wear a real bra with. I have been checking out your site and will definitely be ordering. The pencil dress is amazing. Keep up the great work.

  17. Elizabeth says:

I just watched the Homemade Millionaire show & I immediately got online to find your shirts! I love that they are not big & baggy. They are so slimming! I would love to purchase from you. The shirts are very flattering. You did a wonderful job on the show…..I think you should have won :)

  18. Colleen says:

You rocked Homemade Millionaire. I think your product is A+++++++. HSN would make a wise business decision in putting your product on. Best of luck!

  19. Gigi Farmer says:

Omgoodness what a godsend! I hate shopping and have to settle for over size clothes. I weigh 129 wear a 34 E (very difficult to find) with a 26 waist. I am not fat but every thing I wear makes me look fat. I am so glad to have watched the show tonight and you should have won. I do hope you will come up with some more styles, I can’t wait til after Christmas so that I can shop for myself. Woo Hoo I am so happy!

  20. Ronda says:

You shoulve won. I would love to see your clothes at a dept store so theybwould all be there to try on and buy. Hope tomsee you in the stores soon

  21. Lisa says:

Saw you on Homemade Millionaire just now, and had to check out your website…Love the line, but, disappointed a bit…What about for those of us w/ size H cups? I’m a 40H and, your size chart doesn’t go that big, almost, but not quite. I think you have a great idea, but, you need to go a bit bigger…If you did, I’d buy a lot. Thanks..

  22. Tina Tobola says:

I just watched your show on TLC and came to look you up. You didn’t win but I much enjoyed your product and was dissappointed you didn’t win. It’s late so I’ll have to find a soft measuring tape to take my measurements. My bra size is a 38C (or a 36D) but I do have the gaping issue when it comes to shirts so I’m hoping that once I measure your line can accommodate. I just got a new job that I’m starting in the new year for which I will need to buy suits and therefore shirts! Hoping shipping to Canada isn’t a problem. Thanks, it’s about time larger breasted women can find a shirt solution over skinny girls that can already fit in 90% of the close marketed in thes store!

  23. Madeleine says:

Carissa–you are like a prayer answered! Have had problems fitting “properly” into my tops due to my “full figured bust” and do have a defined waist and hips….as a fellow proud mother of 4 and wife, been hard trying to look professional, confident and dare I say “cute” in a button style shirt! I am a new fan and was sorely disappointed for you that HSN and Homemade Millionaire didn’t see your full potential…I will tell all my other proud and busty friends ..LOL and You can count on my business! Blessings to you and your family….I wish you much-deserved success!! Madeleine (proud mother, wife, sister, friend, Air Force veteran!)

  24. amy lisi says:

Wow, I just saw Homemade millionaire. Your product makes me want to reconsider a breast reduction. I hate trying to find shirts that don’t make me look fat because of my double D’s. I have always been large busted and slouch because I am so uncomfortable to draw attention to the “girls”. You have a fantastic line. I don’t have money to purchase now but I know I can save up for one after the holidays. It would feel so good to be pretty and not frumpy in a button down classic shirt. Thank you.

    • admin says:

Amy, of course we are anti reduction and pro good posture (standing tall with who you are), that is why we do what we do. We are having a sale in January, so please check back then. Thank you!

  25. Kathleen Kearney says:

I saw your product on Homemade Millionaire and immediately went to your web site to order three or four different styles.I thought that I had found the perfect blouse and the only product that I would wear from now on! Alas, that is not to be. I am a 54E. I am also a 3X. I guess I will have to live with gapping shirts as I could not find a large enough size.
However, I would still love a catalog for a friend. Please send the catalog to:

  26. D. Curtis says:

Just saw you on TLC-what a wonderful idea to fit us large chested gals! Please make larger sizes.

  27. Karen says:

Loved your concept. Thanks for thinking about those of us who need your design.

  28. EDL says:

I watched Homemade Millionaire and was disappointed that you didn’t win. I think your shirts are what I and other busty women are looking for and would have been a big hit for you and HSN.

  29. Louise says:

Loved your blouses, just way too expensive! Wish I could afford one!

  30. tricia says:

I saw you on Homeade Millionaire tonight. My sis and I have struggled with “gapitis,” as we call it, for years. This looks like a great solution. Am concerned about the prices – a bit high for me. I recognize this is still a young company, but a few things I’d like to see, in case you care, are more short-sleeved options and more colors. (I live in a hot climate. Much prefer short sleeves but can’t wear sleevelss at work). I like the Hannah short sleeved shirt. Would love to see more colors. I look pale and like I’m on my deathbed in black and white. Can do cream and charcoal, tho. Love jewel tones. This is the kind of product some of us have been needing. I know your company will do well.

  31. Shelley Henson says:

I also just saw your shirt on TLC HM – you SO should have won, although I don’t watch any of the shopping channels. The dress (that did win) was just another outfit for slender women. Your line actually solves a problem for myself as a 42C. There are VERY few tops that I can find that work my bust/waist combo. I will be buying a top for myself for Christmas!!!

Thank God for your idea & initiative to solve this problem for so many women!!! Merry Christmas to you & yours!!

You may not have won on the show, but I do believe you will be a HM without HSN. The show gave you great exposure for your awesome idea!

  32. Lauren says:

Even though I don’t think you need HSN to succeed, I do wish that you had a full-busted woman on the panel at the end to fight for you and express the frustration of trying to find work-appropriate attire that fits and doesn’t make you look sloppy or lose your shape. I’m sure that Kelly Ripa and the other A-cup on the panel have never come home crying after a shopping trip. There is only a small handful of options for women like us, and, speaking from experience, Carissa Rose is the best!

  33. Pam Hodgson says:

I saw your wonderful “Big Bang” solution on Homemade Millionaire. I don’t have a single button front shirt that I can actually button. The gap-osis is just too ugly. Now I can buy a classic crisp white shirt and wear it the way it was meant to be worn. I’m 5’1″ and 32-34 DD. By the time I get a shirt across my chest, the sleeve seam is half way to my elbow–I swim in it! By the way, you should have won!

  34. Annette Namath says:

I’m 4’10, 115 lbs and 36DD. I have never found a button down that I didn’t have to buy a Size L to stop the gaping issue, and then have taken in & up (being so short waisted and shorter arms). Just wondered if you’re going to dabble in petite sizes. Otherwise, I do love your product!!

  35. JJ says:

I just stumbled upon the TLC show and fell in love with your company. I agree, you were pitching to women who don’t have the “issue.” Have you marketed to Talbots? Jones NY? I see your shirts as great for the professional. We do not have time to shop around or when we do, its so flustrating! Keep up the great ideas.

  36. Michael Ann Ochs says:

I watched Homemade Millionaire and was convinced HSN just did not get it. For me, a tailored white shirt that fits is one of the hardest things to find. No fashion designer has ever solved that problem for me because they don’t care about it. Thank you for this product. I hope increased volume will help you bring down the prices so that more people can afford to purchase from you.I

  37. Carissa says:

My name is Carissa Rose… Rose is my middle name.

  38. Robyn says:

I watched you on Homemade Millionaire and feel you have a product that rocks. I immediately jumped online to find your product. I think that though you did not win, your company has received a big push in virtue of the advertising you just received. As a mom who home schooled her daughters who now home school all their children I applaud your entrepreneurship and the fact your whole family participates in your company. I was only sad to find that your clothing is not possible for me because my middle is bigger. If you ever expand :) your size offerings I would like to know. Good Luck!

    • admin says:

Hi Robyn, our Tailored Fit (Norah, Justina, Irina, etc.) is perfect for a thicker middle as it has no waist seam, just a vertical princess seam. We’ve never seen it not work on a belly!

  39. Melanie says:

HI, I just finished watching you on Homemade Millionaire and googled you right away. I am sooo happy that you ship to Canada. I will purchasing very shortly. I stopped wearing blouses and anything with buttons because of the gaps, pulls and bunches. From all the busty women in Canada….THANK YOU!

    • admin says:

      Hi Melanie,

Canadians love Carissa Rose, and we love them! Our site does not yet take international orders, so please call us at 877.654.7673 and we’ll take the order via telephone. Or email us your details at contact@carissarose.com. Look forward to chatting with you!

      Carissa

  40. Susan says:

Like the others, I saw you last night on TLC and was shocked that you didn’t win. Your response that the 32E and 32F are the fastest-growing sale point really resonated — I had a professional fitting in August and was floored to be put into a 32F! I’m also small, 5’4″, 117, with extremely narrow shoulders, and rack aside, a size 4, and have had the usual issues with things that are huge everywhere else if they fit across the chest. I gave up on button shirts years ago, and I’m thrilled to find an alternative to all the knit tops and sweaters I wear. Will be ordering sometime soon!

  41. Renee V says:

I watched the Homemade Millionaire last night. It was amazing to see the way they edited the part where they debated who would win to make it look like they were going to choose you and then chose the other girl. I am definitely interested in your blouses.

  42. J Pickrell says:

Hi Carissa! LOVE your products! I also saw you on Homemade Millionaire and thought you should’ve won. However, I wondered why they didn’t discuss your price point on the show and seeing the prices of the clothing tells me why. As a stay at home mother yourself, please ask yourself how much you typically spend on a white button-down style shirt…I bet it was never a consideration with 4 children to spend that amount on yourself, right? I think it’s a fabulous product but way out of most women’s budgets. You mentioned on the show you go up to size 16; any consideration of larger sizes &/or women’s sizing (like 14W, which is what I wear)? Keep up the awesome ideas and I can’t wait to see more prints/plaids/paisleys, etc. THANKS!

  43. J Pickrell says:

Hi again Carissa….have you tried pitching to QVC? I shop there and never would’ve found you on HSN, so thank goodness for TLC’s Homemade Millionaire!

  44. mammalou says:

OMGshshshsh ! You soooo shoulda won Homemade Millionaire – HSN definitely lost that bet. Jennifer’s dresses were ONLY for the tall and skinny girls (that usually don’t shop from shopping channels) ! They soooo got it wrong. BUT YOU…you rock Carissa – truly you rock !!
There is no doubt you will be big – try Nordstrom or Lane Bryant! Your shirts are also perfect for NURSING MOMs because they have something new to wear and won’t feel like they have to stay in their maternity clothes.
REALLY, Carissa – GOD BLESS YOU and your efforts. You go girl !!

  45. Peggy G says:

Love the shirts!! Keep on, don’t give up. This is a dream come true shirt for me.

  46. julie says:

LOVED your product on Homemade Millionaire. I thought you should have won as the audience you reach is desperate for your product and it is truly unique! I will order some things from you as I have a terrible time fitting shirts! Thank you for doing what you do!

  47. Linda says:

I so agree – loved your shirts on Homemade Millionaire. As soon as they put up the 3 products I thought – OMG – that shirt HAS to win – it is wonderful!! The twisty pretzel dress of your competition – just a big puzzle! Don’t know why they selected it – but I concur with the other writer that said it may be a blessing in disguise that you lost – they may have cheapened your product. Best of luck and I will be ordering after CHristmas! Gotta buy for everyone else before Momma gets what she wants! :-)
